Bower and Branch

We have been your garden center since 1972!

Ken’s Gardens was founded in Intercourse, Pennsylvania by brothers-in-law Ken Lapp and Norman Glick and have served you in the 48+ years since.

We started small, growing herbs, vegetable plants, annuals, and perennials and selling these quality plants to you at farmer’s markets in the tri-state area. As the years progressed, two retail locations were opened in Intercourse and Smoketown.

Later, Ken and Norman expanded by selling their plants on the wholesale market and expanded both of their garden center facilities. By 1990, we returned solely to retail so that we could focus on selling plants directly to you.

In 2004, Ken and Norman’s children took over the business. Today the Ken’s Gardens family continues its commitment to offering you the finest quality plants at affordable prices.
